live-rader

Live Radar‘ is a new site by Paul Barton which allows users to enter in their location and view all the nearest music gigs happening around them ordered by date. The site uses feeds from myspace and Last FM and provides a really useful service to people who are looking for a good night and want to get a list of their options very quickly. The site also allows you to search for a particular band or venue for people who have something a little more specific in mind. Paul asked me to put together the look and feel of the site and has had very good response from the final design.

flickr

I have set up a flickr account, why not ey! For a while I have thought the flickr interface was clunky and not at all user friendly. However now I have been playing with it for a few days I have to say it has grown on me, I especially like the slide show feature. Anyway check out my pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59088979@N00/

Most of the photos were taken using an old lomo camera, hence the slightly crap but kinda cool look to a lot of them.

house of art and design

Just found these old picture’s from my final year of university, at the time I was living with some good friends in London and it was brilliant! Especially because we were a mixture of graphic designers, artists and fashion designers and the house we were living in (New Parsonage) was massive and a brilliant sociable space. These photo’s were used on my old website to promote the little artist collective we had going on in the house. Below are a couple of pics of some of the New Parsonage housemates.

Some of the guys have websites of their own now:

Ross Barnes – Fashion designer

Gareth Martin Royle – Graphic designer

Stella Kim -  Interaction designer

Caroline Carrig – Fashion/Textile designer

Kevin Brian Howbrook – Artist/designer

lemonlife

Launched on Saturday 9th of May 2009, this is my first trans-atlantic project! ‘The Lemon Life’ is an organisation based in Toronto which offers advice and help to people in the inbetween phases of life just before and just after graduating from university. So understandably this site has taken on a kind of online newspaper feel, full of interesting bits and bobs for its young proffessional audience. The site was built using a wordpress cms system, which suits the site greatly, I;m really looking forward to seeing this get populated with much more content and whatch the project grow using the system in place. www.thelemonlife.com
