I already loved Arcade Fire and their new album ‘The Suburbs‘ before I stumbled upon this brilliant interactive video by Chris Milk and I love them even more now! Incorporating the viewers own home town imagery with the Arcade Fire track ‘We Used To Wait’ playing over the top really makes the subject matter and lyrics much more relevant. Gravenhurst, Nightwatchman’s Blues
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010Gravenhurst have interested me for quite some time now and this particular video has quite an interesting story behind it. Each frame of the videos animation has been made into a one off album cover screen print. A really great idea and a very nice way to literally incorporate the album artwork with the tracks meaning and story.
The director of this video Thomas Hicks has worked with Gravenhurst over the past few years on some great projects. Check out some more of his videos here.

Gucci and Chris Cunningham
Friday, June 5th, 2009When I saw this ad on TV I thought it was absolutely brilliant, a gorgeous piece of filming and an excellent idea for a perfume advert. It wasn’t until I googled it that I realised it was created by Chris Cunnigham, makes sense really!
